Hello, we're Al & Harriet.
Al grew up sailing in the Lake District in the UK. After leaving school he completed his RYA qualifications and moved to Greece, where he spent five years working the Saronics, the Sporades and the North and South Ionian.
In his sixth year there he met Harriet, both of us crewing for the same sailing company. We worked Greece together for another year.
From there we spent three years on larger sailing catamarans around the world, primarily the Caribbean, Greece and the Bahamas. Al as Captain, Harriet as Chef and Dive Master, hosting all-inclusive seven-day trips for up to ten guests.
After Covid in 2020 we settled in New Zealand, where Harriet is from. Charter Wise is everything we wished existed when we first started chartering on our own time off, handpicked yachts, proper local knowledge, and a real human at the end of every email.
