Charter Wise ("we", "us", "our") is a New Zealand-based yacht charter advisory and booking service, based in Auckland. We help clients find and book bareboat and skippered yacht charters with third-party charter operators worldwide. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

• Your name, email address and phone number, when you contact us or enquire about a charter.
• Details about your trip, such as preferred destination, dates, group size and sailing experience or qualifications.
• Payment-related information where relevant to a booking, generally handled directly by the charter operator rather than by us.
• General website usage information (such as pages visited) collected automatically through standard analytics tools.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide charter recommendations.
• Communicate with you before, during and after a charter.
• Pass relevant booking details to the charter operator you choose to book with, so they can prepare your charter.
• Improve our website and services.

Sharing your information

We share information with charter operators and, where used, our booking platform (including Nausys) strictly as needed to arrange and confirm your charter. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law.
